There’s something so special about weddings that take place at home. Eli and Elizabeth’s wedding day began in the bride’s own backyard, surrounded by their closest friends and family. The intimate ceremony was filled with laughter, happy tears, and the kind of joy that only comes when you’re gathered in a place that already feels like love.
After the heartfelt “I do’s,” the celebration moved to Arrowhead Country Club in Rapid City, SD, where guests were welcomed into a tented reception overlooking rolling greens and one of the most breathtaking sunsets of the year. The glow of the evening light set the perfect stage for portraits that captured the romance of the day in its purest form.
Arrowhead Country Club offered the ideal mix of elegance and celebration for Eli and Elizabeth’s reception. Under the glowing tent, guests danced the night away to music from Black Hills Beats DJ, who kept the energy high and the dance floor full. The sunset was nothing short of magical, painting the sky with colors that perfectly matched the warmth of the day.
Florals by Victoria’s Garden added a fresh and timeless touch to every detail, while Elizabeth’s stunning gown from Audra’s Bridal was the perfect blend of classic and modern. Every element came together seamlessly to create a day that was both timeless and uniquely theirs.
As their photographer, my favorite moments were the quiet ones we stole away for sunset portraits—just the two of them bathed in golden light, soaking in the start of forever. And of course, the emotional and funny speeches by the bride’s father and his friends.
Those are the kinds of memories that turn into heirlooms, the kind you’ll look back on years from now and feel the love all over again.
Eli and Elizabeth’s backyard wedding and Arrowhead Country Club reception were the perfect blend of intimacy and celebration. From heartfelt vows to sunset portraits, every detail of their day reflected who they are as a couple—joyful, grounded, and surrounded by love.
